Our move is very special because it is designed from the ground up to be a platform to help young talented people get somewhere in the world. They struggle every day to find a break and see an opportunity, and nobody gives it to them. Our world has become about maintaining a small group of “safe” hands and not taking the risk of stepping out and breaking through the walls to change the way things are. The movie business is hard, but it’s so many people’s dream to work in it, and there is so much talent lying dormant.

We decided to not just wait for talent to show itself, but to seek it out. To go out into the world and find it. We have the opportunity to help. So many people and companies go on and on about the importance of nurturing new talent and go out of their way to show how they do it, but it all stays the same. The same faces appear just because they are a safe bet. If you mean it, put your money where your mouth is.

Recruiting the new industry
Discovering a new talent is more exciting than enjoying an old one; bringing someone to life who had all but given up is greater than celebrating a person for just carrying on as they are. Let the light in and show someone their dream is within reach, and they move the world. They will blind you with their energy, enthusiasm and hope. Things that you never knew to be possible start happening. Talent you never knew was there shows itself. We want to bring hope, defiantly. But most of all we want to defy the trend and encourage you.

We want fresh faces. We want people on set who have a new perspective and don’t know what they’re not supposed to do. That’s how things change and miracles happen. There is no shortage of people who could be amazing if given the chance and our mission is to find as many of them as possible and give them the chance to show us just how amazing they can be. The more people we help, the more successful we will be.

It’s for that reason that you will notice that:

  1. We only want a cast who are undiscovered as their talent will be a surprise;
  2. We only want unsigned bands for the soundtrack;
  3. We only want production personnel who are incredible but need that break;
  4. We want people with talent who don’t know it, so they can find it.

A way where there was no way
Anyone who works on “Michael’s Resignation” would rarely have had the chance before, and because of that, will create opportunities for others in their own life. Any of them can take what they have done and use it to get another gig or be noticed. It’s a vital step that no-one provides and is not just a novelty or cutesy by-product – it has been designed this way from the very beginning as a vehicle to change the lives of everyone involved in it, and everyone who comes into contact with it.

You’ll notice the same philosophy there is with investment: we can find a way to get what we want by giving others what they want. We can help people who help us.

Leadership: the key to everything
How do you organise such a large group of people that may not have the credits and/or experience you would find on a typical movie project? One simple answer: leadership. Success in our project is dependent on strong, effective and inspirational leadership based on vision, and works day to day to bring out the best in people they never knew they had.

The talent is there; all that remains are resources that need to be acquired and co-ordinated.
