Wow. Erm, where to begin? Been watching the counter at the top of the page? There are a lot of very excited people on the MR team. Well, “excitement” doesn’t come close to describing it. One interview in the Metro and the whole world goes mad. Lisa Scott, you are a beautiful woman and are getting a huge bunch of flowers next week!
From everyone who is working on MR:
THANK YOU!!!!!
What an achievement. We allocated £18,500 and as this is being written, we’re about to hit £32,000. Almost double what we needed. Twice the movie, twice the action and twice the resources to make the film we want to. It’s going to enable us to do something very special indeed. All because of you. Thank you for believing in us and giving a lot of very deserving, talented and grateful people the chance to show up, show out and make you some money in return for your faith and help.
As you can imagine, it’s chaos. We’re trying to get on top of it, so please bear with us.
0845 number:
This is playing up and because of the chaos calls are being missed. If in doubt, make sure you *leave us a voicemail* so we can call you back.
Certificates:
It’s going to take us 2-3 weeks to get them issued, as we have several hundred to print and sign by hand. Bear with us!
Contact:
We’re going to be emailing everyone who has invested as soon as we can with details of what’s going on and how you can get involved, who to speak to etc. Bear with us!
Can i still buy?
Yes, but be quick. See the info below.
Going over target:
This WON’T devalue anyone’s units in the movie. We have burst capacity for this as a contingency plan. We can leave it open if needs be for a little while but will be putting it to the democratic vote as to how we deal with it. Essentially the movie units are pegged to a certain percentage of the movie, which is flexible as its in a general production share-pool.
Closing deadline:
We’re going to close the fundraising in the middle of May so everyone who wants to can get in and buy what they want. At that point the payment gateway will be shut off, and we will make a formal request to our payment provider to release the funds to our production account, as they are currently held in escrow.
Getting involved and script/film ideas:
Email Chloe Waddington (chloe [dot] waddington [at] michaelsresignation [dot] com) for information about how to get registered into the production pool.
Music:
Email Cami Walsh (cami [dot] walsh [at] michaelsresignation [dot] com) to introduce yourself and suggest soundtrack/score tracks.
Thank you again, people of Metro. You’re amazing, and we won’t let you down.
Alex

One Response to “Over £30,000 in 36hrs? Hello Metro readers!”
Hi, I would like to buy some units in the film. Please let me know how to go about it.
Also I would be very interested in working on the film or your future films as a stills photographer and will email Chloe. Is there anything else I need to do, to register my interest?
Thanks.
Sarah.
